“What do you mean how Amelia died? The famous author? Wasn’t it by accident?”
“No it wasn’t. I’m not unsure why the bookstore doesn’t have cameras outside their building that would have shown this. But anyways, it wasn’t by accident. I sat in my car, staring at the girl that enticed me. After she got into her car, Amelia walked out of the bookstore. Then it happened.”
“Then what happened Isaac.”
“Someone killed her. Rushed into her body and she fell backwards the same way the author Lee Won died.”
Jacob stayed silent, unsure of what to say, unsure of what to do. The friends said nothing for a while, and stared into the distance, looking at the birds in the sky as they flew. The sky was just beginning to be lacquered with the bright red colour. The sun was settling.
“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” Jacob noted.
“Yes it is. Always so beautiful. Which means it’s time for some night reading.”
“I should let you go my friend, we shall talk soon.”
“Do you think I should go to the police?”
“No! There’s no proof at all.”
Isaac looked up at the sky once again, and sighed. “I know it wouldn’t mean much, but I do have the recording from my car that could be proof.”
Jacob got up, embraced his friend, “again, I wouldn’t try to do anything. But if you must, let me know so I can come to the station with it alright.”
