Cloud 9
Mes amis, welcome to another Thursday! It’s been a long day…work is killing me this month but we move. I got my coffee right next to me, my editor right next to me and a story to type. Enjoy Cloud 9!
Today, he walked to school. And on his way to school, he said “hi” to a dog, and smiled. Then as he got closer to the school, his eyes met with a girl and so he did what was necessary. He smiled, his mouth stayed shut without the courage to open up and say “hi.” So he continued his walk.
As soon as he got to school, he realized that she hadn’t smiled back so he sighed, “oh well.” he mumbled.
He walked into the classroom and went straight for the back and as he sat, he began to ponder why the girl smiled not.
“Zeke, Zeke,” he heard his name and looked up to see a dark hazel-eyed girl. She smiled - he smiled, “You’re the first on the list,” she pointed to the board.
He continued his stare but was disjointed when he heard his name once again. He looked up at the teacher who had called him to present.
"Why is she smiling at me?” he thought.
And thus ends the life of an over-thinker in a classroom. I think…
